Welcome to Coconut Grove, Miami

Effortlessly fun, this hip residential neighborhood melds quiet, leafy streets with quaint, eclectic shopping and dining.

Along the shoreline of the Biscayne Bay just a few miles south of Downtown Miami, the charming, residential neighborhood of Coconut Grove is the laid-back opposite of the hustle of urban city living. Sometimes thought of as a suburb of Brickell, Coconut Grove carries the upscale sophistication of the surrounding Miami area, but offers a calmer way of living.

Referred to by locals as simply, “The Grove,” this tropical daydream is the oldest, continuously inhabited neighborhood of Miami. Its roots lend themselves naturally to an abundance of beautiful architecture and vibrant culture. With its gorgeous landscaping and historic gardens, it’s easy to see why Coconut Grove has called to the free-spirited throughout its existence and still carries the bohemian aesthetics of its earlier days.

Some of Miami’s most spectacular homes and estates are found within Coconut Grove, whose tree-lined properties and ocean views are hallmarks of the area. Prospective buyers come to Coconut Grove for the multimillion-dollar, historic villas and sprawling estates, the extravagant mansions whose amenities include indoor spas, on-site infinity pools, waterfront living, and guard-gated entrances.

Dining, Entertainment, & Shopping

Coconut Grove might maintain a residential vibe, but the neighborhood still keeps locals up-to-date with the latest fashion trends thanks to several upscale shopping centers. The lovely outdoor courtyard of Cocowalk Mall sets an airy tone, and from its position on the busy Grand Avenue, this popular shopping destination is easily accessible.

The shops surrounding Grand Avenue — including those found at Mayfield in the Grove — are a blend of both popular brands and independent boutiques. Among them are chic venues like the fashion retailer LoveShackFancy, which carries a variety of women’s clothing and accessories.

When it comes to food, Coconut Grove certainly delivers. For a European-inspired dining experience, hungry locals head to Bellini, the rooftop restaurant and bar located at the Mr. C Miami Coconut Grove luxury hotel. Bringing the tradition of all-day-dining straight from NYC, Sadelle’s is best known for its world-famous bagels and sticky buns.
